| Re: How To: make Panda86's smaller than X7 hopper Thanks everyone, glad you like it! Hope it's a helpful idea for those looking for smaller hopper like me. Snake eyes 88: I'll try to snap some on-marker pics tonight. M1n10n: The hot glue works good for me, make sure you have the right glue in the gun - there's several different types. One is for general or wood / craft use, there is a slower set one for plastics. Mine is quite sturdy. Big_red: it's pretty strong, you can use epoxy if you're paranoid that the 2 parts will break loose, but the glue holds fine. I mean, if you're gonna drop your A5 off a cliff, nothing is going to survive. But I can twist the hopper on and off no multiple times with problems. Shade: yes, my marker is already digi-woodland / marpat. So I'm painting other parts like that. When I'm done my A5, I'll post it in the gallery. |

The only experience I have had with hot glue is holding pieces of cardboard together for some stage work for the theater, and it really doesn't seem to be something I would use for anything long term [we usually have it built, used, and stripped back down for parts in a matter of a few days]
