| Re: Sound Dampening Hoppers and Pods Why don't you just go to Sears and buy Tool mats that line the draws of large toolboxes. They are basically very strong foam or rubber thin sheets maybe 3/32s thick, they are grease resistant also. But can be cut to go inside your pods and hopper. You can buy them by the roll. Also they are soft, I have them in my 72" 3 bay toolbox. Craftsman Chest Drawer Liners - Model 65215 at Sears.com Tool Boxes, Accessories, Drawer Liners | Matco Tools Online Tool Catalog |

| Re: Sound Dampening Hoppers and Pods That's crazy. You can get those mats for tools like you mentioned (they are thicker). I have also seen the exact same ones used on the "Special Ops Ricochet pods". You can get them from dollar discount stores - they are the mats you put inside your kitchen drawers to stores forks and knives (so that they don't slide around) you can also use them for your kitchen cabinets so that your plates don't slide around. They aren't puffy foam like the tools ones, they're made of rubber and have dimples on them like Lego, just like the SO ricochet ones. You can get them from Ikea in the kitchen dept. I bought some for my kitchen! |

| Re: Sound Dampening Hoppers and Pods It's taken me a while to post this sorry for the delay. This is what I did and used. This has not effected paint and does in fact dampen noise over several feet with 3 coats. I will post the pod pics as I complete them... ![]() |

No, the coating dehydrates and compacts itself. It is similar, yet thinner than rhino liner. Total the thickness is 1/16". |
