Re: Red-Dots: Reflex vs. Tubular

Question: How does parrallax correction work (or not work) between these two types of sights?

Rather than me trying to explain it, here's a link to a good article about red dots that covers parallax.

Re: Red-Dots: Reflex vs. Tubular

Although I have only looked through a friend's Reflex and only currently own a 42mm Red Dot Tubular from OpsGear, I really like the tubular option. I have both eyes open when I look through and it merely looks like a bright, red dot is floating in mid-air (on my target's head that is!). The effect is awesome.

Re: Red-Dots: Reflex vs. Tubular

hmmm.. after reading the posts I'm considering to build a custom shroud to protect the sight. Thick glass front and rear... gonna look hightech and sleaky.

Re: Red-Dots: Reflex vs. Tubular

I use the Blade Holographic Red Dot by RAP4, the thing is sick, works great, takes a hit, and the option for changing the "dot" to a cross, crosshairs, etc assists better for paintball ( the crosshairs, I know my shots will hit if they are at 125feet and I put BOTTOM of crosshair on target, etc...sighted in at 75 feet ) Also, through experiment and trial / error, without error...with my red ot, so long as I am looking at the sight, I dont have to look dead on, the dot will be where my shot goes, regardless of the angle i view through the sight. If I see the dot, the shot hits where it is marked.
