I'd give it a 9/10 because there's always room for improvement. There are a lot of good reasons mentioned above. I am shocked that nobody has talked about customer service. I have never seen ANY company stand behind their products like Tippmann does. If there's a problem, a replacement part is in the mail that fast. Tippmann is amazing in how they take care of their customers. My cocking nob broke on one of my A-5s. I called and was wanting to buy another cocking nob. I started telling the story on how it broke. They guy didn't even want to hear my story. He said no problem, a new cocking nob will be in the mail. He took my info. I didn't even have to pay for shipping. That is top notch customer service.

I must also give the A5 a 9/10-just for the ratchet mod that SHOULD be stock,but overall..i gotta give cred where it's deserved-this gun kicks butt.Just so you all know..I have a modded first gen spyder that works really well & since i got my A5..i haven't even touched the spyder..oh yeah i'm also infatuated with my tac 8 whooooowheeeeee...did I mention that I LOVE paintball????

I would say 8/10. It's not perfect (is anything?), but I think the modding ability makes up for the small faults it does have.

In comparison, I would have rated my Brass Eagle Raider 4/10 for the fact that it does actually shoot paint... most of the time

9/10, its a reliable gun as well as durable, you can literally beat walls in and it will still shoot, not to mention the amount of mods you can get for it, it can be customized to any persons needs which is what i like, a gun that suits my needs just as i want them, and how can we argue with the price?

I would love to give it a 10/10 but it isn't perfect. With all the mods out there for my A5, it truly makes it a marker that competes with the best of them. There are little things about the A5 like the stock cyclone that irks me but it nothing that can't be fixed. It's a tried and true marker that has never failed me until my cyclone went kaput but thank you for the Vortex mod which saved the day.

I have to give it 9/10. There are things that I would change. There isn't to much too comment on that hasn't already. Cyclone,ROF,reliability, and upgrades. These are areas that they could do from factory but then the marker would cost more and places like J&J, flatline, and specops would not have anything to sell. Also what I want on my marker may not be what somebody else wants on theirs!!!

I would give it a 10/10 for a woodsball gun. That's all I play so it works excellent for me!

to be honest, im rating 4 out of 10. for me a good gun is the one that you take out of box and shoot and have a good performance. 8 balls per second for $200! i mean, you have to upgrade to e grip, jet click, barrel, etc. you even have to freakin polish your own internals for christ sake!!!! the thing that really caught me off guard is the ratchet. using plastic parts on one of the most important part of the gun is really stupid. it doesn't make sense. please tippmann, why plastic!!!!!! thank goodness, men invented the holy jet click.

dont get me wrong i love my a-5! i love the cyclone feed system. i just did not expect to be spending more money for my a-5's performance. right now, after the jet click, e grip, lapco barrel, and x-7 hopper, the performance is where i wanted to be. after those upgrades i'm rating it 8 out 10 because i need some more stuff for my a-5..

I gotta say 10/10 cuz its just "the gun" of the sport, it can be a speedball gun or a woodsball gun, ist cheap ya can bounce it off a rock and keep firing, easily strips ,easy to modd, and very seldom do you see two of the identicle a-5s
