| Re: New cyclone mod? The only isue i see with an oversize detent is that it would be too soft. if its too soft, it will not load properly since the balls are now taking a longer route to get to the chamber with the excess play causing a breech break. If techt made a new arm made of the same stuff as the paddles, that would be a great upgrade. Maybe i will toss the idea to Todd and see what he thinks. Rubber spray on and around the breech area would also softer impact.

You're right, I think, in that the paddle material has promise. How would mounting be handled? Cut off the old arm, tap the receiver, and bolt the soft feeder arm in place?

| Re: New cyclone mod? I thought about having it cut off and tapping the receivers. But then it becomes a not so easy item to install. Some people arent comofrtable with drilling and tapping their guns. I know plenty of people who do not want to dot he qloader conversion because its a permanent mod unless you buy replacement receivers. maybe if they did a recevier swap deal or something. Send in your receviers and they will perform proper work for a small fee. Those are know know to drill and tap can mod their own receivers to save a couple of bucks.

| Re: New cyclone mod? I already have the techt paddles. I am looking for further ways to decrease paint breaks and faster cycles.

| Re: New cyclone mod? What about just adding a thin layer of high quality RTV? I've used it to glue parts down as well as dampen noise. I think Im gunna try this now that I thought about it. Silicon is smooth so the balls wouldnt grip, its glue so it not gunna move, and its rubbery so the balls wont break.

| Re: New cyclone mod? actually i think you might be on to something with the heat-shrink... i'd file down all the sharp edges first, and maybe file the whole arm down a little bit to make up for the added thickness of the heat-shrink tubing, but it's worth a shot. My only concern would be that the rubber might give the arm some "grip" where the ball might hang up instead of slipping into the breech like its supposed to. |
