so you use it with the A-5 or the X7? becasue im sure the bolt will give two different outcomes with two different guns? |

I also have one in my A5 now... I just haven't had a chance to use it... they are marker specific though! I will test out the A5 one this coming weekend with the Rufus Dawg bolt... But right now, my A5 isn't chopping paint with my JCS front bolt... |

| Re: Howitzer Bolt Take some fine wet-dry sand paper and work the front end of the power tube a bit (I used 300 grit paper and worked my way up to a quick finish with really fine paper). You don't need to take off a lot. Prior to doing this I was smashing to. I do oil the O-Rings on the bolt. It works. When you sand do so in the direction of the action as you want the micro scratches (sanding) to be in line with the action of the bolt. |

| Re: Howitzer Bolt I don't know what that field tech was smoking, but just because the bolt is delrin doesn't mean you don't have to oil it. Whatever you do, don't ever let that guy touch your gun. I use my Howitzer with an aluminum DOP powertube, and I've never had any issues with breakage due to the bolt. Breakage in the cyclones, thats another story entirely... Because of the inner o-ring, the Howitzer does need a really smooth surface to ride on, you can sand and "polish" the plastic stock tube, but in the end my advice is go to an aluminum tube, less likely to crack with age, and smoother operation with the bolt. |
