1. Barrell which one would you reccomend flatline, 14inch aftermarket, apex or AK-47 Paintball Barrel Kit. Had a flatline, sold it 14" is what I suggest. I like the Lapco over the Palmers. Most prefer the Palmer Brass.

2. are stocks really worth it? NO

3. i have a response trigger, what is the main upgrade i can make to it- Clicky spring and qtip mod

4, can i put a double trigger on my gun and if so is it worth it.
I liked my RT better with a single trigger.

5. what would be your first upgrade, Barrel, then Squishy Paddles from TEch T.

Had a Flatline. Now use Palmers brass with Apex tip. For me it allows more ranges of play style.
2. are stocks really worth it?
Never had one. I use a 4 inch drop down and a 20oz co2 tank. This allows me to hold the gun closer and use the butt of the co2 to steady the gun. Maybe poor mans stock.
3. i have a response trigger, what is the main upgrade i can make to it
No clue as I have a E-trigger.
4, can i put a double trigger on my gun and if so is it worth it
I am happy with my double trigger.
5. what would be your first upgrade
Not knowing what else you have I would say: Larger air/co2 system, longer play time. Mask, I went from a cheap one ( now loaner ) to a new mask Vforce shield, Less fogging and can wear my glasses in it as well.

Just my thoughts.

Re: barrell and trigger

The main upgrade for the responce is getting the larger 1/8 fittings, valve and hoses. You may already have them since tippmann now puts these on their stock rt since nov 07 and all x7s. These upgrades would classify your rt as a aka "super rt". They also now sell it all together instead of seperate which brings it from over $45 seperate to only $22 in the kit. Here is the link for the parts Adapter for 98 with Cyclone Feed and RT

Re: barrell and trigger

CYCLONE UPGRADES.

With that out of the way, allow me to answer your other questions:

I personally like stocks. Dogleg ones will offer very good mask relief, as well as letting you go air-thru with a remote. Make sure you can aim properly with your stock and mask on if you use something other than a dogleg.

I don't like double triggers much and since you have an R/T I see no real reason for you to put one on.

Go with the 14-inch barrel, I don't like messing around with backspin or anything. Milsim barrel shrouds are nice, but go for functionality first.

Re: barrell and trigger

From my 3 years expeience I have owned four A-5s, two WAS grips(niether worked well) two APE's(Awesome), two responce triggers I have not chopped any paint out of the responce. Seriousely though... Get a reg on your co2 first. Or find a regulated adjustible compressed air tank. Air consistancy is huge in performance.

Re: barrell and trigger

you have a great setup for a beginner. the first thing you should get is a nitrogen (compressed air) tank, this will ultimatley help in accuracy and performance.

Re: barrell and trigger

the board is for an electric trigger, the R/T is a completely different thing.
1) depends on your play and prefrance
2) depends on prefrance
3)either a super R/T or get an e-grip
4)R/T's have a heavy pull so you can't "walk" a double trigger. the A5 isn't very wakable at all.
5)HPA tank
