G36C Shroud Kit Install Help!

Sorry for starting a new thread, but the other thread was a bit ambiguous.

For those of you with the G36C shroud kit...did anybody run into problems installing it?

Currently, my stock is VERY tight and hindering the installation of the lower rear push pin and the upper rear pin. I downloaded the install video on opsgear....and his stock goes on way too easy. Mine does not sit flush with the receiver ports and (obviously, neither do the) push pins.

Right now...my shroud spine is on the gun....but again, the top rear push pin is very hard to get in...and i haven't pushed it all the way in...b/c i wouldn't be about to get it out (it's so tight that when it's in the receivers i need a hammer to remove those rear pins!)

I would hate to imagine stripping my marker...

Push down on the stock with all of your weight...then take the pin, pop it in as much as it will go, then take a hammer and tap it in. Over time the pin will come out easier.

my brother had the same prob with bits being very tight. The other one was he had to get a slightly smaller tank as his wouldnt go on with the stock. oh and the screws he had to re place with stonger ones as the ones that came with it sheered off. apart from that the kit makes it look like a great marker

Re: G36C Shroud Kit Install Help!

2 small tricks. Slightly loosen the allen screws on the marker, only the rear half of the marker tho - every allen bolt from the tombstone back to the stock. This should make the stock fit less tight, enough for you to get it on easily. When it's in, tighten the bolts.

Secondly, put some white lithium grease or gun oil on those 2 rear push pins that hold the stock in place. The oil will help them slide in easier.

Without your barrel on, place the marker on a carpeted floor with the marker pointed into the carpet and the rear end facing up. place the stock in, and push down, the weight pushing down on the stock will make it down as far as it will go. Slide in the pins, and you're done.

btw....how often are you guys stripping your markers and doin a full clean?!?

i just want to know a good time frame since taking the shroud kit off/on does take more time then i'd like.

Re: G36C Shroud Kit Install Help!

If I'm just playing normally and I don't have any breaks inside the breach, I won't disassemble the marker. I juts clean it and oil it. If I do get breaks, I will take it apart.
