so if the ball I use is ".688-.689", I should get a .689 barrel?

Can you guarantee that is all you will ever shoot? Thats an expensive barrel you're buying there... Don't forget, paint will expand some during the day in the heat. A .689 ball could very well be .691 after lunch, sitting in your gear bag at the staging area.

I have the St!ffi 14" barrel in .693 and I love it. They are fairly quiet and extremely light. The CF does not distort due to temperature. The .693 bore size allows for almost every conceiveable diameter and quality paint and allows you to shoot through breaks while maintaing a respectable level of accuracy. If you want a single barrel and you can't get consistent paint, I'd recommend the .691 or .693.

Yeah, I too just saw those Special Ops barrels, it looks like you can also mix and match various ends.
