I am looking to get a Stiffi! Well, a Stiffi carbon-fiber barrel. I’m not going to get the insert kit with it, so I have to pick a specific boar for the barrel. I can choose from pretty much any diameter, so I am wondering which one will properly accommodate the most common paintball sizes? And note that I typically use RPS Marballizers, and WPN Toxic paintballs... but it’s not limited to that. Sometimes I have to play with field paint.

So like I said, what diameter barrel should I order?

You will have to look up ball sizes ea. is different. With the paint listed you'd be better off with a kit. Like the python system or freak kit. But that all comes down to how much you willing to spend. I would just get the inserts.

Eventually I will, but thats not going to happen right now. I really only need to know which insert will work the best for the time being. E.g. what will work with MOST paitballs. Not all.

If they make a .689, that will work with most paintballs on the market, and it will give you the most range of sizes if/when you decide to get the inserts (you can get a smaller insert inside the barrel, but not a larger one.) <---I don't know why I just decided to explain that.

One note - look around before buying one, because I think there was a recall on a specific size (I can't find it now, maybe .687) because the carbon fiber would separate from the neck. They fixed the problem, but you might run into someone selling an old one.

I think the marbalizers is about .68.7 - .68.9 in size. But check that before you buy something.

Well I know balls tend to expand in heat, shouldnt there be some room left for that?

As stated, a .689 - .690 is about what will work best for the widest paint ranges out there. I used a .690 for years and it worked great. As for why not go to a .691, that is fine if you can’t get the .690. I don’t think you will need anything more than that.

I am getting a .689 with my custom A5 if that means anything to you.
