Lpk ?

I just installed my lpk on my gun. I notice that when I put my tank on, I hear air coming through my barrel until I cock my gun and then everything is fine. Is this normal and/or should I cock my gun before putting on my hpa tank? thanks

It is 100% normal. Even HP A5's do it.

Re: Lpk ?

HP a5's mean High Pressure A-5's running co2 or a High pressure HPA tank.

Re: Lpk ?

Sometimes what happens is the hammer will sit against the back of the valve allowing air to leak out until you pull the charging handle pulling the striker off the valve, with the lighter springing in the lp a5 it only makes sense that it would be more prone to do that.

Re: Lpk ?

He means normal A-5's running high pressure. The venting is perfectly normal because the drive spring is pressing the hammer against the valve pin keeping it slightly open. Once some pressure can build up behind the valve then it takes more force than the hammer resting against the valve to open it. Granted that pressure usually can't build up until you pull the hammer back by cocking the marker.

EDIT: Doh, others typed faster than me.

Re: Lpk ?

Either. Any a5 that doesnt have a LPK is considered a HP marker.

Re: Lpk ?

Thanks silent. I was just hoping one of my internal O-rings wasn't damaged or anything but, it wouldn't make sense since the noise went away after i cocked it. Should I cock it before i place my hpa tank on?
