Re: X-7 Low Profile Hopper slightly modified///quick release

Ive been playing with this mod for 2 to 3 weeks now, and let me tell you ITS AWESOME! well until you empty you hopper in the woods. Some how Ive done this 3 times now i bump the trigger and pour all the paint out. so far Ive done it 2 different ways, one I'm used to resting the back of the hopper on my shoulder when I'm not in the ready position. and the second way was i dove into a bunker and leaned over my marker on impact and popped it open.

I love the mod recommend it to all.

I'm glad it's working out for you guys. But if you have an issue with opening your hopper by accidental trigger activation (btw hasn't happened to me yet) try to make trigger slightly shorter like mine because relatively little force is needed to activate it anyway.

Wicked idea markerman. Simple, yet effective.

Will save your fellow OG'ers lots of time and frustration.

Re: X-7 Low Profile Hopper slightly modified///quick release

Ok, so I gave it a go, and I found two small problems. The first was that when you push down on the lever and it pushes up on the hopper lid, the lever wasn't quite long enough to consistently flip the lid all the time. I lengthened the tip so that is was more pointed and the lid now opens every time.

The second was that after you open the lid you tend to point the marker downwards. When I did this my lever would flip down and be upside down. This prevented me from just flipping the lid shut. Here's a picture: (with original rounded tip)

So I started tinkering and came up with the idea of lengthening the bottom portion towards the back of the hopper so that it would catch the lever. This works wonderfully! I can now flip the lid, tip the marker forwards fill it up, and snap the lid back down and it closes. Here's pictures of my template: (with extended tip)

Here's the actual template*:

*I tested the template by printing it at Actual Size and cutting on the Inside of the lines.
