Talking You spent how much on a TIPPMANN?!?!

Bear with me. I'm going to vent alittle bit here. I've had a Custom98 for a long time. Fairly modded.. barrel, double trigger, expansion chamber..nothing crazy. Decided it was time for a new gun so (being a Tippmann lover) I went with a step up and got the A-5.

With the A-5 I wanted to go up to the next level from what I previously had. I did extensive research reading/listening to what people were doing with these guns. After about 2 weeks of this I got the following for my A-5.. LPK,Palmers Male Stabilizer, DXS 68ci/4500psi HPA tank, 14in Tippmann Werks barrel, double trigger, and a gauge for my stabilizer that ranges for 0-800psi.

For anyone that has done similar mods you know all this will run you (including the gun itself) just over $700.

Now..when I tell the people I play with how much I put in my gun they look at me like I got 7 heads and reply (Dude, you could of got an Autococker, Ion, Dye ...etc.) You know what, yeah, I could've.

However, before I bought my A-5, I knew nothing about LP tippmanns at all, wouldn't even try and tell you what to get in order to convert a standard Tippy into LP. Looking at my gun now it is so satisfing to me that I converted that thing into a sick LP marker from scratch. From researching the benefits of going LP, to the best parts for it, whether or not it's worth it, and installing and adjusting everything for precise performance, makes it all worth while. Going out and buying a $700-$800 LP gun would be just too easy for me.

Now when they get lit up and painted pretty from my "crazy your insane for putting that much money Tippmann" I'll just smile and laugh.

Anyone feel the same about this or is it just me?

Re: You spent how much on a TIPPMANN?!?!

Exactly. The quailty of Tippmanns is unbeatable in my opinion. The main reason I decided to get nuts with it and do everything I did to it.

Re: You spent how much on a TIPPMANN?!?!

oh, I love it when people talk crap about my tippmanns (Yes I got a few, A-5 + 98c) and say that their autocockers and such are so much better, blah, blah ,blah.

Then they play against me and my guys (Who all run tippmanns) and get absolutley hosed by us................. my Quote.

Tippmann A-5 with upgrades.....$700.00
Other guys Fancy upgraded Autococker.....$1700.00

The look of pain and humiliation on thier face when you color them with your tippman every time......... FRIGGIN PRICELESS!!!!!!!!

Re: You spent how much on a TIPPMANN?!?!

Add a few milsim mods to it and you're easily over $1000. Of course that's one thing you really can't do very well with an autococker...

oh, and of course, I love to see all those guys with their fancy guns run like hell at the first sign of rain cause they can't get them wet, where the rest of us Loyal Tippmann Owners look at rain/snow and laugh!

Re: You spent how much on a TIPPMANN?!?!

Yes, I have over $600 invested in my A5. No, it's not some LP spool-valve 380bps rope-slinging beast. Yes, I could have gotten a decent used autococker, or even a DM5 for that price.

Yes, I DID get a great autococker.

Yes, I STILL use my A5, and re-sold the cocker. 'nuff said.
