| Re: Vortex spring question! I didnt cut my spring after installing the Tech-T Vortex mod, and I havent had a single problem shooting on full auto.

| Re: Vortex spring question! What I was more specifically refering to is the info that Tech-t claims being able to have the cyclone operate when your Co2 cylinder is very low. That if there was enough pressure for the marker to cock then the cyclone would still function rather than having to manually operate the cyclone. I wondered if this increased efficiency cam from the new parts or just from the fact that the cut spring was lighter. ![]() |

| Re: Vortex spring question! Hmm does Tech-T actually SAY that you SHOULD cut the ratchet spring after installing the Vortex mod into your cyclone? edit: Yes it does. I wish I had seen that before I installed mine. Now it’s going to be a HUGE PITA if not imposable to get the spring out and cut it. I’m wondering if I completely negated the performance increase I would get from cutting the spring (faster BPS rate)? I know the parts will last longer but that’s only half the reason why I bought it, you know?

| Re: Vortex spring question! With a good lubricant like shocker lube the Techt Vortex modified cyclone feed runs smooth as glass with the stock ratchet spring. With my Low Pressure Kit and HPA my cyclone is still feeding at 200 psi with the stock spring. IMHO the extra tension that the stock spring provides makes the cyclone crisp and responsive. You definitely want the cyclone to feed one ball at a time with a positive 'click' between each feed. Also as springs wear and age the tension will gradually reduce over time thus the stock spring will last longer. |
