Bullpup full conversion MOD

So I always wanted a bullpup, so i figured I would just make one. I have designed it to use mostly stock internals, and have left room to hold a palmer's stab internally. I still need the new E-Grip to design the sear area and see if i can remove the trigger.

This image shows the laser scan I took of the cyclone side receiver. Once the model is completed I will compare it back to the original to ensure the surfaces match well enough.

These show the model designed in SolidWorks. I haven't designed the left side receiver yet, as I'll just mirror over the right and didn't want to ahve to do additional work.

I plan to add some picatinny rails. One will go down the entire top, and i may design another on the barrel side shroud.

Im pretty happy with the design but I cont tell yet untill I get the rail, barrel, and grip modeled as well.

WHat do you guys think?

Re: Bullpup full conversion MOD

Really good job.

You may already planning on this but I would make sure you have a spot to see the pressure gauge from the Stap and that you can easily adjust it.

Not sure how you are planning on doing the egrip. My guess would be to have the board and battery up front in the grip and just the solenoid and sear stuff at the back.

I would be really interested in purchasing one, if there is a limited run.

Re: Bullpup full conversion MOD

You may want to put the stock endcap on it to retain its ability to field strip. Or some how add in room for a buffer oring.

Also needs a hole for the drive spring guide rod.

Re: Bullpup full conversion MOD

That's pretty neat, though where exactly are you planning to put the trigger on that? Actually what materials are you planning to make it out of?

Either way I'd be interested in it, I'm definitely gonna keep up to date with this mod!

Re: Bullpup full conversion MOD

Yeah right now its held together by the 7 body screws and the cyclone mounting screw, and its not field strip-able.

this is due to the fact that the tombstone is completely enclosed in the housing and cannot be dropped out. since the tombstone cant be dropped out, the bolts and powertube cannot be removed. I could change this by making the area around the tombstone removable, but that could affect the aesthetics.

since there are tons of mods out there that don't allow for easy field stripping, i didn't see it as a big deal. the marker can be cracked by removing the 7 screws. i know its more of a pain, but i never field strip my marker anyway. i always leave the area of play to work on it if need be.

whats nice is there are not any screws that can pop out when cracked, so splitting it in the field isn't as nasty, just don't loose the lil ball holder.

ideas are welcome, if field stripping becomes an issue for many, then i will make the change at the cost of appearance.

i looked at the design of palmer stabs, and the gauge is 90 degrees off so it may be hard or the end user might have to make a slight mod to accept a a gauge.
