Homemade Tac Cap

I really wanted a Tac Cap, but my local store was out and i couldn't wait.
So i took an 50 ball Opsgear pod.

I removed the lid, and found a plastic insert that would fit, (this took me 2 hours and involved cutting up every plastic bottle i had in the house, lol).

This is how it looks on my A-5.

I can fit 31 balls in this Tac Cap, and i like the smaller profile.
My view of the field is also greatly improved.

That seems like a really great set up for running up and sneaking up on people. Good job!

Re: Homemade Tac Cap

Not a bad idea at all. I maight adapt it a little and just cut the end out of one of my pods, then just dremel the little notch thing in. Why didn't I think of that?!?!. Nicely done for your 2nd post.

"Washer first, then o-ring, tombstone holds them in place . . ."

Don't worry if you don't get it yet, you soon will.

*going to do some measurements*

Re: Homemade Tac Cap

Wonder if a Dye Locklid would make a good tac-cap, what with the slide-catch opening mechanism...

Then again I am not really willing to sacrifice a Locklid.
