First i just want to say thanks to rx78gp02 ,beh, and WarCowboy. If it wasn't for them posting pictures and a how to do this. It would of never happened.

It started today at 11am when the bell rings and wakes me up. I look out the window and yes it's the mail man. I almost missed him. As soon as i get my package i run upstairs to open it. It's a work of art in my eyes. I get to work right away.

I break out all the tools and some water. I'm so excited i don't even eat breakfast or lunch. I start cutting and sanding. it's a really tight fit so i sand the top again, the bottom and the edges. It's slides right in with a bit of force. After 4 hrs of non stop work this is the results.
I used a #8 tap tool and screw for my rail.

As you can see i want to make it fit as tight as possible. I will start painting tomorrow.

looks good, how did you get it to go flush against the mag?

Look at the last pictures. I did more cutting then the other projects from other members. I also sanded the bottom edges.

Ahh i see it now. Was it necessary to sand down the bottom or could yo have gone without it?

yes if you want it to line nice and flush with the bottom of the gun. It slides right in the slot. If i didn't it would have a lean to it.

Well it looks very good.

So you just sanded down a good amount where the bottom lip was, and the trimmed down the front two slots flush with the screws on both sides of the receivers?

Looks great so far. Nice job on all the cutting, filing and sanding. What colour are you going to paint it?

Also, it'd look even better with the X7 hopper.
