I am relatively certain the trigger will be just fine, BUT....I have been looking for a single, metal trigger FOREVER!!!

Check in with AirH0g about the metal trigger assembly. He posted something about it the other day . . . somewhere.

Cut into the bolt a little more where the sear catches it. Should make it harder to get to the "break" point.

Re: Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

for the pen spring mod, do u have to cut the spring down so it will fit, or just cram it in there. If so, how did u cut it because I am having trouble cutting it.

It depends on the spring you have. I used a regular Bic spring and I had to cut it, I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel.

Re: Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

You dont want to use any other sear spring in the sear. If its too light, it wont catch, if its to heavy, it will wear out your hammer and sear real fast.

Re: Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

Most of the real guns don't even have that heavy of a trigger pull. Unless your talking about a barret, which has a ridiculous weighted trigger. The trigger pull on my ar-15 is only around 4 pounds. nowhere near 7-9 pounds. I was looking at getting a trigger replacement cause i want it lighter, (like my hunting gun that is at like 3 pounds) Having a heaver trigger with a real weapon means that you will usually pull the sight off of the target you are aiming at. With that in mind most guns are designed with a light, yet safe trigger. So if your aiming for realism why are you makeing the trigger pull so ridiculous? Just curious, i mean, its your marker, you can do what you want with it.

That is because you have a CIVILIAN AR. The military (i.e. the one I use) M-4, GAU/GUU-5 and M-16's do have the heavier trigger pull and are required to be that way.
