Bogus Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

I have been playing around with the my A5's trigger spring, but here is where I differ from anyone else I have been able to find....(speed ballers and milsim critics, brace yourselves or exit now...)

I want to make my trigger pull HEAVIER, approximately 7-9 lbs to be exact, to simulate the feel of my real weapon (we use GUU-5's, essentially an old M-4).

Anyone here have any ideas or good places to find heavy but small springs other than perhaps a hardware store?

Thanks for any assistance.

Cheers!

-Dustin

If you want to use a heavier spring, you can still use a clicky pen mod. Just try to find a spring that is longer the stock one and try it. I was messing around this weekend and did get a harsher pull.

Pens don't use springs that stiff. Maybe the red spring from a kit?

If you don't think your stock trigger will hold up, there is a guy selling metal single triggers for the A-5 over on SpecOps.

HAHA...yeah...already tried that spring...LOL

I am relatively certain the trigger will be just fine, BUT....I have been looking for a single, metal trigger FOREVER!!! Can you please link me? That would be REALLY appreciated.

Re: Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

Sure, let me find it.

I made a REALLY hard trigger pull. It took the red spring, and cut it a little longer than the stock spring. Then I cut another red spring a tiny bit smaller than the first, and screwed them together. Let me tell you, ya ain't going to walk this trigger!

Also, if you replace the sear spring with a piece of red drive spring, that should get you around 15 lbs

Re: Trigger Spring Mod...Speedballers please IGNORE!

Oops, they say they are for egrips, but they look like they would work.

New Trigger for the A5 Egrip - Special Ops Forum

Yes, the double red drive spring works well, but the drive spring on the sear plus the double trigger spring.... Well, it either didn't work, or the pull was too hard.

I tried to pull the trigger but the marker didn't fire. I could have pulled harder, but didn't want to break anything.
