| Re: Folding Stock The metadyne stock is very well built. I don't think you would be disappointed when its in the folded position. I have seen some stocks use velcro system to keep it in the folding position.

| Re: Folding Stock I'm gonna give the Metadyne folding stock a try. I've always heard good things about them and I doubt they'll let me down. I think I may have seen this stock before because it looks really familiar. I'll let you guys know when it comes in. |

| Re: Folding Stock Metadyne makes top notch stocks. And they do use a ball detent system to keep it folded, but I've never had a problem keeping it folded.

| Re: Folding Stock I received the stock in the mail today. It is pretty well built but there are a few issues I have with it. 1. It wiggles side to side inside the receiver. Its definitely not the stock that is wiggling because it's rock solid. Is there anyway to shim this? 2. I'm missing the ball latch on the stock. Rockstar forgot to add it to the stock or something. I've contacted them about replacing the pieces but I have no idea how many pieces or what they are that need replacing. Anyone know which I might need? 3. The action of the stock seems pretty stiff. Can I add grease to the moving parts or is that not recommended? |

| Re: Folding Stock To remove movement, try applying some black electrical tape to the area of the stock that fits inside the receiver's. You may have to take the receivers apart and apply the tape to the stock, then insert the stock, insert the rear screws, and finally tighten down the screws to get the whole shebang together. I've only really had this problem with one A5 and the tape cured it. The stock fits just fine on my other A5 without the tape. So I think it's just loose design tolerances or something. Also, the stock will be stiff brand new. Just work it like anything else you would, and it will smooth up nicely. As for the ball latch, I believe it's probably just a spring and a small ball bearing with a possible detent to keep it in place.

| Re: Folding Stock The detent should have been attached at the factory. Did yours come with an o-ring? Mine came with an o-ring that sits behind the rear bolt. Without it, the rear bolt will slam into the stock. You can shim your stock for movement by adding a slim o-ring (look in the plumbing section of a hardware store) around the base of the part that slides inside your body. I did that with one of mine. ANd yeah, the stock will loosen up a little as it gets used.
