Folding Stock

I ran a search and couldn't find the answer to this. The Metadyne Folding Stock, does it latch only in the extended position or also in the folded position, as well? I'm looking for a stock that can latch in both.

Re: Folding Stock

Yea I don't see why it wouldn't. No point in making a stock that doesn't latch when folded or it would swing all over the place, and the stock is $90 (assuming you are talking about the skeleton folding stock) so it better latch.

Re: Folding Stock

Just got an email back from Metadyne and apparently it does NOT lock in the open position. It has a ball detent system but doesn't lock.

I know I have seen one that does lock in both positions but don't know the brand. Any ideas who makes one like that?

Re: Folding Stock

I have an opsgear AK folding stock... It has a latch & spring set-up on it... even though it unfolds easily you've gotta lift & swing that sucka out of it's groove before it will move.

I've NEVER had a issue with it coming out of place until i want it to.

Re: Folding Stock

ya gotta admit even though they aren't metal they are sturdy as all get out... I still love the video where they ran over it a few times with the humongoid truck then tethered it up & started doing pull-ups on it.

that was the selling point that got me

Re: Folding Stock

Does any folding stock out there actually lock into place when closed? Or do they all just use something to hold it in place but not real solid?

How about Warsensor's folding stock?

I bought one of these: Ben Tippmann BT Folding Stock A5 NIB **BlowOut Special* - eBay (item 260272393672 end time Aug-14-08 19:00:00 PDT)

I locks when you fold it. I wish it would fold to the left instead of the right though, but it does lock. It fold and slides as well so you can adjust it more.

Re: Folding Stock

i have the metadyne folding stock, it is pretty still in locked mode, but the position of the folding stock (folded) and my ump mag is perfect because i always hold my a5 at two points (one being the trigger and the other the front upper part of the mag) so the stock works perfectly for me.
