If this was previously discussed before, I apologize. I did a quick search on "Hydrographics" but nothing came up.

Has anyone ever done this on paintball gears/markers?
It obvioulsy can be done but I just want to gather your thoughts, since it is rather expensive service.

$ 100 for this particular work (grip frame + Barrel + Marker Body)


$ 35 for this mask. Apparently some paintball goggles are made with paint-repelling materials and not all googles can be dipped in the hydrographics. (Well...at least that's what he said)

If anyone at A5OG.NET ever dealt with this company, I want to hear your experience.

I would only consider having it done if I was sure that it would last a long time and if I didn't have any more upgrades to buy. I know it looks pretty, but durability is what will win my heart over.

I also don't think that will hold up on a very flexible mask.

From what has been done so far, it seems to work quite well. And on a marker... it is more than adequate. But keep in mind that any color change tends to work best once you have your setup just the say you want it.

As for flexible masks.... you are correct. The more flexible the mask is, the harder it will be to keep the paint looking good. But that goes for any type of paint process.

When I first heard of the idea it was from the Lakota Industries link through Crye. At the time it took me longer to figure out what it was called than it did to find a link through a5og...heh...I usually paint, but this is a sturdier option...

I saw it on an episode of American Chopper..... They used that transfer process on the tank/fenders/rims of the Gander Mountain bike. ( http://www.discoverychannel.co.uk/be...in/index.shtml )

VERY cool process.... and with the xtra clear coat on the parts, I could see them lasting a LONG TIME. (maybe not the flexible rubber parts of a mask) but on the hard plastic portions... you betcha!!!
