Just did a search for these, found a couple sites selling aluminum ones for under $4 each. Never realized they were so cheap. Would just need to have a mag well made. Anyone know if these are large enough to mount a stabilizer inside?

Found a place selling the 50 round drums for $225. But that's a bit more than I'd like to spend. Anyone know if there's an airsoft version I could mod?

I measured a G3 mag for you: it's just a 16th short of approx. 1" thick at the middle point. And 6" tall.

BTW, do you have the link for the 50 round drums you found? If they are the real HK deal, then $225 is a steal!

Nope, wasn't a real HK drum. Made by a company called Allied Armament. No idea on the quality of them, but then I was only looking for something to mod for my A-5 anyway.

Yeah, the AA drums are basically a copy of the HK drum with slight differences. But it's essentially a "vaporware" promise that never has come through yet as their 4-6 week delivery time has stretched out to well over a year now.
