Proper way to use a 2-point sling?

Hi all. I have recently purchased myself a Tippmann/SO 2-point sling (I think they call it the GGS?) Because I was sick of holding my gun in my hands between games (I run remote). Currently, I have the sling attached to the back of the barrel where it screws into the adapter in front, and my back mount is the rearmost of my Dogleg stock (obligatory Doglegs of War plug HERE). I have the rear mount configured such that the sling goes downwards from the rear mount to loop under my right armpit, diagonally across my back up to my left shoulder, and then from there to the front mount.

I do not have much background in firearms, so I would like to ask those who are, or use a similar setup...how do you have your sling configured? Is mine the right way to use such a sling (for that matter, is there really a "right way" or is it simply down to preference?)

Re: Proper way to use a 2-point sling?

I run mine on my RPK in a similar fashion.
I have a sling loop on the stock and put the other side inserted into the shroud. On my Shorty, I attach it to the Back plate or my short longbow stock depending on how I have the gun set up.

YouTube - 5.11 Tactical / Viking Tactics 2 Point Sling Installation

Kind-of generic instructions.

I have plenty of experience with different sling configurations and installation, and would love to help out, but pictures of your set up (decent quality so i can draw on them in paint) would really help.

Re: Proper way to use a 2-point sling?

it's mostly up to preference, but pictures always help.
three point slings, because of their use, are a bit more specific in how you're supposed to attach them to your gun and your body, but two points are really versatile.
