| Receiver Pin Mod (for Air Thru's) I had posted this on UMS a few months back, and felt I should post it here as well. This comes from Spec Ops themself. I recently inquired from their Gun Tech via PM about this item as I needed one: ![]() The reply included a simple breakdown of how they did it. I bring it to you in my own words. Material Needed (1) 10/32 Tap with Tap handle (1) 10/32 screw (1/2 total length, threads 5/16 length) (1) washer (I added this to keep the screw from tearing threw the plastic clamp) (1) Plastic Cable Clamp (size that fits macroline) (1) Receiver Pin (1) Table Vise or Pliers ![]() On my first attempt, I tapped the pin to far and bent the spring inside it. So I suggest you use caution, or remove the spring. Removal of the spring proved to be quite a task, so best I can say is... Good Luck. The process is quite simple even with the spring still in. Clamp down the pin either in the Vise or Pliers (use some type of padding to prevent tearing up the pin). Then simply tap the open end, put the screw threw the washer, then the clamp, and thread into the newly threaded pin and tighten. Assuming that you did this correctly, the end result should look similiar to this: ![]() Here's an example of how it looks mounted with macroline. It helps keep the line in place and out of the way of the safety. ![]()
