Ultimate A-5 Mod/Upgrade Thread

This thread is the best single source of A-5 parts I've seen. I just joined here the other day cuz a lot of you guys seem to really know your ****! Thanks!

Sound Dapening Hoppers:

Materials:

1. X7 Hopper
2. Cascade Audio Quiet Kote (or similar sound dampening spray from Schucks)
3. Philips head screw driver
4. Newspaper
5. Masking Tape

Instructions:

1. Use your screw driver to halve the X7 hopper (keep track of the screws)
2. Mask any portion of the hopper you don't want painted. (outside)
3. Lightly coat the inside of the hopper and lid with Quiet Kote
4. Let dry to the touch
5. Repeat the coating 2 more times (light coat, let dry)
6. Let your hopper cure for 7 days (to avoid paintballs sticking)
7. Bolt the hopper back together

** Perform similar with pods

This process can be used to quiet gear, but unfortunately paint may not stick to the coating itself so it will be best to use it on the inside of the hopper and pods.

This will keep your noise down when running with a partially filled hopper. (I've done it with mine).

I DESPERATELY NEED TO FIND THIS SHROUD!!! If anyone knows where I can purchase this, please let me know. I've seen similiar products on e-bay that come with rails, but if you look close the hole pattern on this shroud the holes are larger and have a staggered pattern. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
