| Re: What length barrel is best? I like anything between 14-16 inches..just for the way I play...I run around allot and anything longer just gets in the way....When I bought my spyder SE it came with a dye 21" barrel or sumthing...It looks ridiculas on the gun for one thing and I just found it too big for my style of play....and to be honest I didn't find that it was much more accurate than my 16" progressive barrel if at all...I don't think I would ever go bigger than 16"... |

| Re: What length barrel is best? Best? IMHO, it's pretty subjective. As long as you can make your velocity and the accuracy is good, then I don't believe that length makes all that much differnce in a paintball barrel. I like shorter barrels for the most part. I have found no appreciable difference in performance or accuracy between my 8" and 12" PPS brass barrels, but the 8" is a bit easier to maneuver through the considerable brush on our field. |

| Re: What length barrel is best? Well said Trip... it all depends on your playing style and surroundings. You're not going to see a tremendous change in accuracy for distance between most sizes. Buy what feels right and will accomodate any future add-on's like handguard or shroud.

I am considering doing an XM177 type, and using my 12" brass for it. I like the Milsim stuff, but I don't want to lose the accuracy of the brass to do it. My kid wants to do an AK, so I will reinherit his 12 Palmer brass when he gets the Tacamo stuff. |
