A-5 hopper choice.

Ok I'm looking into getting a new hopper tommorow, should I get the X-7 low profile, or the ricochet?

would it be possible too get a pic with both hoppers side by side to see the difference?

I would really appreciate any suggestions and help on this choice.

Also I would like to apologize for the extreme noobness of this question and thread.

Re: A-5 hopper choice.

Try one of them out, if you like it, good. If you don't like it, try the other. They are not expensive, so it won't hurt your wallet. I say this because everyone likes what they are used to, and you will never come to a conclusive or decisive answer on "which do you like best?" I like my X7 hopper, but I've not used the Ricochet. Other guys are on the other side of the issue. "Long to short", it's what you like that matters.

And, if I haven't done so, welcome to the forum. Let us know what you try, and if you do or don't like it.

Re: A-5 hopper choice.

I agree with Worrhammer. I have the ricochet, and really like it. I've never used the X7 hopper, so I can't give you a comparison. But if you did buy both, you would have another back up. I didn't throw my stock hoppers away when I bought the ricochet. These things occasionally break. It's better to be able to walk back to your gear and have an extra one, than to only have a broken one. When I got my A5, long before the ricochet came out, they were still relatively new. I couldn't have borrowed a hopper from someone if I needed to.
Plus, only you can decide which one suits you best.

Re: A-5 hopper choice.

I have an x7 hopper and I love it because of the low profile.

Re: A-5 hopper choice.

I have the X-7 hopper, and like Presence said, the low profile set up is perfect. The only downfall the the X-7 hopper is the fact that balls can get jammed at the front of the hopper when you're shooting at a downward angle. The fix to this, put some of the foam rubber rectangle make-up applicators in there...they work great, and you only loose about 10 balls, maybe 20 at the most.
