Re: New Concepts

With all the hopper shells I've broken, I'm beginning to think that molding one out of carbon fiber would be a feasible idea. It wouldn't weigh much more, and it'd be near impossible to break by way of normal gameplay. I'd shell out the extra money to have a hopper that'd last as long as I do.

Also, I've been thinking of ways to quiet down my pod pack. I've used tube socks in my pods but they always fall out when I open one. Maybe if I had the right kind of glue I'd get it to work.

There's also the issue of a fogged lens. Maybe with a windshield wiper of sorts I could work something out.

JT Mask + JT Mask Fan = No Fog and a very light cool breeze. I ran mine in 90+ degree heat and it worked great.

The fan is a bit noisey... so I'd like to see some way of fitting a larger fan that can spin slower and get the same CFM air flow rate.... or perhaps a way of changing out the fan for one that is super quiet.

Here is a rough scetch of my spandex idea take a piece of spandex and glue it around the top of the pod (A) leaving enough for it to streach to the bottom of the pod (B) but tight enough so when its empty the spandex is where (C) is. sorry for the poor pic.

Re: New Concepts

that a nice idea but im thinking that in order to have enough tension on the spandex for it to return to "position c" it would eject the contents of the pob when the lid is opened.

Re: New Concepts

Try it this way:

You drill a hole in the bottom of a pod. You run an ellastic cord through the bottom up to a large "parachute" shaped piece of cloth or spandex.

The cord is long enough so that the "parachute" is out of the way for filling the pod or emptying the pod. You fill the pod and then pull the cinch strap down until the paintballs are snug. You pull the "cinch quick release" up to the pod so it stays snug.

Quick. Fairly easy to make. Doesn't require spandex....decent cloth would work. Doesn't require ellastic cord...a soft cloth covered cord would work too.

(Of course the "spandex" part would be bigger than drawn....I just couldn't draw it better than that in the time I had.)

Re: New Concepts

i just cram my paint in there, with the dye locklids it doesn't even put too much stress on the balls and theres no bouncing.

Re: New Concepts

i'd deffinately like the A5 to be lighter, but hey, its builds muscles. i'd like the vortex mod be "stock" for the A5, just cause i hate havin to manually load each ball when i get low on air.

I do too, but if you top off your hopper, then your pod is not packed full anymore mid game.
