| Re: New Concepts Revised version of recent post. Adding an agitator to the x7 or a5 hopper. How about buy a pneumatic hopper, take the agitator off from that pneumatic hopper. Then attach it to the x7 hopper (some how.) An electronic hopper might work too. This is just an idea, I don't know how to do it or it will work or not. Or reducing the capacity of the x7 hopper. This will result less area for the paintballs to go into. To sum this up, I don't know what I'm talking about. Just an idea.

| Re: New Concepts i don't think i understand or maybe i do but isn't the a5 x7 hoppers agitated already, as they get forced into the gun?? first paddle agitates and the second feeds. another thing that i used to do before i got a speed cap, was take drinking straws and tape them to the out side of the hopper and then put the other end in the top. when you poured your paint in they would move right out of the way and then if paint pushed up on them they were half in the hopper and wouldn't move. it worked rather well but the straws wear out fast.

| Re: New Concepts I would like to see a paintball in a shell like a real round except the shell has been pressurized. Enclose all of this in a magazine thus making the gun magazine fed and not needing an airsource or a hopper.

SORT of like a tac 9, but the actual balls are pressurized? That's a good idea. Perhaps another pre filled (with air) blob on the back, and a metal coating to keep it from misfiring? Maybe just a pvc pipe w/ a .68(.7 would probably be the closest) ID and a piece of PVC pipe with a hole in the middle, to propell it, and a strong backing(strong enough to hold air in). When you fire, it pushes down on a valve inbetween the two sections, which would let the air free. |Oi_| sort of like that |

| Re: New Concepts My Idea: The Tippmann A5 is not the lightest gun in the world. Granted, it's lighter than my M16 was, but still, not a "featherweight". This is one of the reasons why Tippmann gets poor rep with the tourney ballers. Rebuild the A5 receiver halves with carbon fiber. I've been looking at prices, and it's not all that expensive. I have the plans in mind, but this is a saleable item with business potential, so I can't go into specifics. Suffice it to say, I'm looking at a total LPK kit featuring aluminum or carbon fiber rear bolt for ungodly weight reduction, and a custom milled Carbon Fiber receiver casing. Weaver/Picatinny rails would be epoxy bonded to the top and sides, and you would have a full mil-sim Body Kit weighing in at far less than a normal A5. If I get my hands on the Carbon Fiber, I'll snap some pics and let you guys know how it turns out. And while I'm at it, I should really take some pics of my featherweight trigger mods.

Good question... and I have for it a good answer. The fact is that Carbon Fiber is the strongest composite you can find on earth currently, with respect to weight. Carbon fiber is the quintessential "extreme performance" material. People are aware of this, and by choosing CF, I tap into the market of consumers who desire the exotic and unique. Going with Magnesium would get me nowhere, as the consumers would view it as merely a copy of what Tippmann is already doing. Thus, I become known for being a "Rip-Off". This is not going to get me many sales. I purchased recently two Spyder classic packages for my stepsons. At $100 a piece for gun/tank/mask, you really can't lose. I was immediately struck by the weight of the smaller guns (and their large, heavy trigger pull). Those were Aluminum, I'm fairly certain. With CF, I could undercut that weight. I suspect that the Empire Mini (IIRC) is also aluminum, I haven't found the info yet. If so, the "Carbon 5" may well be able to hit equal weight. Now that's hi-performance.
