After obtaining my old A-5 from an acquaintance (as previously mentioned in my other thread) I found that very old paint had corroded the matte finish on the A-5 to the point where it was peeling off and rusting underneath. I have almost finished sanding off the entire matte finish on the body of the A-5 but am clueless as to where to go from here.

- What paint should I use to repaint
- What method of repainting should I do? (spray paint, etc.)
- What grit of sandpaper should I use to make sure the paint adheres?
- What are the steps involved? (primer, # of coats, etc.)
- How long do I let the paint dry? Do I bake it on?
- Anything else I should know?

I had a local shop powdercoat mine, came out great, much more durable. Did it a while ago, forget what it cost. More than a can of spray paint, but worth it.
