A5 pistol again.......lol

I know i know, i've read the older threads but i have a specific, diff. idea or route i'd like to take. pretty simple actually. completly stock A5 with a 4" barrel, 20 round tac cap, shaved front spike thing with a weaver rail in place and a 3.5oz co2 tank attached to it with oversized scope ring mounts . I'd be running a vertical asa adapter with a 90 degree 1/8" male/female fitting from the bottle straight into the tombstone. I'd also have to modify or make a cheap holster due to the cyclone.

like this one

my question is how many shots should i get more or less out of a 3.5oz tank before the cyclone stops working? i've gotten about 3 hoppers full out of a 9oz on my current modded a5. so maybe 100 rounds?!?!

i've looked into a Tac 8 but to get a decent package with 3 clips, holster and such i'd be well into the $300+ so if i can pull this off under $150 which i can if i find a cheap enough stock A5 to start with i'd be golden. plus i love building different things, and i'd be getting 20 rounds off each load versus the Tac 8s 9 round clip.

if anyone is selling a beat up or cheap stock a5 PM me

Re: A5 pistol again.......lol

a 3.5 will get you about 75 shots, a 5oz will score about 150ish

Re: A5 pistol again.......lol

Try mounting a drop forward on the rail backwards instead of using scope rings to hold the gas tank in place. That way when your 3.5oz tank runs out you can quickly screw in another...

Re: A5 pistol again.......lol

why not just put an on/off valve on the tank and run it vertically?

that would make it way lower then i want, i'd like the tank as close as possible to the gun so it can actually fit in a holster. I just spent about 2 hours looking for mounting solutions, ring weaver mounts only come in 1" or so, from what i found. so i'm just gonna pick up a weaver riser, and clamp the end your suppost to mount a scope to or w/e to the bottle with some cheap metal clamps and the other end will mount to the rail ima add to the gun where the front grip used to be. should work out nicely

Re: A5 pistol again.......lol

this is how i wanna mount it more or less, but with a actual mount and not the tank just hanging from the fitting.

it would be more or less from the tombstone to where the front grip used to be, maybe a 1" or so will stick out passed the gun body, but since i'll be using a 3-4" barrel thats no biggie

How are you going to holster the cyclone just out of curiousity.
