| Select-fire A5 with pictures! The ORIGINAL X7 egrip retrofitted A5. This project was really easy to do and only took about a week to complete. I cocked the gun and fired it without air and it releases the hammer properly. I will try it with air tomorow. Here are pictures of the X7 egrip on my a5. (Please excuse the look of my a5 as it's undergoing a makeover.) -I also made a "jcs gold member" using my redhot tube by taking out both screws and then filling in with jb weld. ![]() Ignore the dorky asian looking fellow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SOME INSIDE PICS TO HELP YOU DO THIS. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I didnt cut off the back cause i only have very very basic tools and the closest thing i ahve to cutting the back piece off is a dremel and that will definitely melt the plastic. The grip is very solid...the holes arent lined up perfectly either. its so tight i ahve to force and wiggle the egrip back into place. The x7 egrip is a bit bigger than the a5 egrip so its not so comfortable for me though. otherwise i like the feel of it. It feels like it is part of the gun. Quote:

| Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures! That's awesome... Can't wait for video. ![]() You could use just a hacksaw or bandsaw to cut off the excess plastic on the back. Or use a dremel, and leave some stuff to file down. |

| Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures! I dont even have a band saw . the dremel melts through the plastic...i know cause i ruined my mech a5 frame to the dremel.Who is the first person to try to retrofit a custom slect fire switch? I remember like a year ago someone tried to make a selectfire using various switches and such with the a5 egrip and stock board.

What I meant was too dremel about 1/2 cm away from the back, and then file the rest down. |
