Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

Pictures i can not do cause i forgot to take them when i was doing it...i can show you the brackets that were made by showing you the inside of the grip
It shows you the general shape of the bracket and certain obstacles that you need to look forward too.
Tools/supplied that i used:
Dremel
Hand files
1/16" thick aluminum
drill press
ALOT of JB weld
Vices
painters tape
sand paper.

I will do a write up on it once i get a chance.

Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

I took everyone's advice of cutting off the back side of the egrip to make it flush with the endcap. I used the dremel on 1k rpm with my standard cutting wheel. it melted enough to go through but not coat the wheel in melted plastic!. i used another layer of jb weld to cover up the air holes that came up when i was sanding it to fill in the holes and scratches. I did a test paint on the left half of the grip as you can see its rather glossy. Im using standard rustoleum black paint for palstics cause its what i had laying around.

I also took some pictures of the inside of the grip to help you guys get an idea of how to do this. notice where the 3 cuts are made to accomdate the safety switch.

Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

I have more pictures up!! As requested, i cut off the back and painted it. It is not officially compeltely done!

Had someissues with paint buildup on the selectfire switch so the paint scraped off a bit there. Other than that it looks great! I may get some nail polish and paint in the fire modes.

Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

Actually, I've been instructing Nick007x on how to retrofit the X7 egrip. He's currently in the final stages of finishing it. Unfortunately I sold my X7 egrip so I can't take additional pictures, but I'll try to do a write up over my x-mas break with the pictures I have. If anyone else would like basic instructions, you can PM me and I'll walk you through it.
