Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

just catching up on how to do this. Looks great, but seems like its a ton of work. Why hasn't some aftermarketer started to make these? Hell why hasn't tippmann done it.

What would it cost to have someone do it for you???

There isn't much work involved. Its just mostly shimming the grip to make the grip a bit thinner by adding a spacer then drilling 2 new holes for the pushpins.

To mod the X7 egrip involves some cutting and drilling, which is probably why no aftermarket places ahve done it since they would ahve to shell out the $115 for the egrip then modify them. Its also most time consuming for the jb weld to dry and to sand them down smooth.

Or an alternative would be to mold brand new egrip shells to have to thinner profile to fit the A5. But that still requires the purchase of a brand new X7 egrip.

There are also only a couple of people who ahve actually done, it but you can talk to airhog or flatline'sup about doing it.

I wish I had the balls to try a mod this complex. I can't wait to see it when it's all done.

Re: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

Man, the mod isnt that complex. I posted a how to over at Spec Ops, everyone there was asking how. I took over 200 pics during the process. So the how to has about 27 pics in it. Link

Its not much different than the one posted in this thread though. And I linked my thread to this one as well to show where the idea came from.

Ill post pics of my marker in the marker pic thread if people are interested that much.
