Walking the trigger: v. Shooting using two fingers in a "walking" motion
on a double trigger, with an alternating motion between the index and middle
fingers. This generally results in a faster rate of fire.
Walk on: 1. v. To play at a commercial paintball field without a reservation.
Players walk on because most commercial fields have a minimum group size
limit to allow reservations. Walk on players are usually grouped into teams
randomly. 2. n. A player who walks on.
Warp feed: n. A feed system which forces paintballs through a tube allowing
for faster rates of fire for longer periods of time, usually mounted with
the hopper and the warp feed to the side of the marker rather than on top.
This results in a lower profile. Contrast with the Q-loader, which does not
use a standard hopper.
Welt: n. A painful bruise attributed to being hit by a paintball.
Wipe: v. To remove a paint splotch, usually illicitly. This is a form of
cheating. Wiping is allowed only between games or when instructed to by a
referee.
Wiper: n. (slang) A negative paintball term used for someone who wipes paint
off their clothes in order to remain in the game after they have been eliminated;
a cheater.
Wiping: A player who cheats by wiping paint off of him/herself after being
shot.
Woodsball: n. A paintball game played in a large wooded area. Games typically
last longer than speedball games, and are characterized by players who wear
subdued clothing or camouflage.
