Re: AWW_SKEET_X3's A5 a la rx78gp02 yeah, right now I didn't cut a slot for the cocking pin. I have an extra cocking handle which, when I do cut a slot I will be able to cock the gun no problem exactly how rx78gp02 did his. and yes the spec ops flat top rail does hold it down and its quite sturdy Last edited by beh_ : 04-19-2008 at 06:37 AM.

Re: AWW_SKEET_X3's A5 a la rx78gp02 haha funny thing though about the name. I have an xbox360 and recently (this past thursday) xbox live just banned my gamertag (I used AWW SKEET X3). maybe its because I was getting too many headshots (pun intended) in Call of Duty 4. so now since the ban I use AWW SKI EAT X3

Re: AWW_SKEET_X3's A5 a la rx78gp02 Great job. Can you take a picture from the top of the gun. I like to see how much cutting in the back of the cyclone. Also it you can mesure the back of the rail to the cyclone so i know how much to cut. Any help would be great. ![]()

Re: AWW_SKEET_X3's A5 a la rx78gp02 oh yea if you can also take a direct front shot of the gun. I want to see how big the hole is in space. I wonder if i can use my flatline barrel with that rail. And last question how hard is it to remove the rail if you need to take the gun apart. Thanks and keep up the good work. Last edited by BL1TZ : 05-17-2008 at 05:16 AM.

![]() ![]() The shroud to the back of the cyclone (I was able to put it right up against the mag) measures just shy of 7 1/4" while the front of the cyclone comes a little over 4 3/4". This is where it comes tricky. I am in no way a pro with tools so my cuts were all freestyled with a hacksaw and a no name brand dremel. If you were to look closely at the pics the cuts aren't all that straight and if I had taken more time and patience and maybe the proper tools then everything would sit flush up against eachother and all would be good in the world. But for my purposes and my standards I am quite happy with the outcome and I'm proud of myself for doing it all on my own. Quote:
![]() The diameter of the barrel hole is about 1 1/2". I don't know the dia of a flatline as I have never owned one. But hope this helps Quote:
![]() Taking apart the gun isn't too hard. There are 2 screws that attach to the top of the picatinny and there is a small plastic screw pin that is used to secure the bottom plastic half of the shroud to the metal top half (located right next to the sling adapter). The bottom half then slides right out. There was another screw pin one on the same side as the cyclone but was cut off in order to get the shroud to fit right up against the cyclone. Also don't forget that in order to fit the shroud you would have to cut off the front lip off of the marker. And once that is done you also have to sand down one of the screw attachment points all the way down to the screw until flush. take a look at page 2 of rx78gp02 thread and you will see what I mean: My new A5 ARMS SIR mod added more pics to the first post as well. enjoy Last edited by beh_ : 05-17-2008 at 12:48 PM. |
