How do you like the sp8? I've kinda been eyeing one for years now,but i keep hearing all kinds of bad things about smart parts.How does it compare to the a-5

I can't speak for the SP8, but mechanically my Ion is the same marker. My Ion w/ 14" freak barrel (All American front) is super quiet. People say they hear the paint whizzing by their heads rather than the sound of the marker firing. By contrast, my A5 w/ 8" Lapco w/ fake supressor has been compaired to being fired on by an AK47.

If I'm not the only one firing at that point in time, people aren't hearing me shoot at them, even on full auto. The thing is, my operating pressure is at 300psi. You put a decent barrel as far as noise on a electro and you're looking at 180psi.

The problem you run into with running a LPK on the A-5 is that a stiffer spring lets you lower the pressure, but it prevents you from going lower because you need more air to blow the bolt back.
