Alot has changed since this thread was created... So Instead of continuing to append the post, I am completely re-writing it.

Here we go...

I bought this A-5 on the 4th of July, 2008

Primary Setup:
A 12" PPS Brass Barrel
JCS RedHot Power Tube (which is now a Gold Tube thanks to JB Weld) & Hex-bolt
Tippmann Low Pressure Kit (vertical adapter delete mod)
Palmer's Male Stab (0-700 range)
E-grip w/ APE 2.0 Board
Full Rap4 Cyclone Upgrade Kit
Rap4 Wire Stock w/ RVA
JCS Duel Trigger
Pure Energy Remote w/ Staubli ProConnect
SpecOps Stovepipe hopper offset
SpecOps MP5SD Shroud (mostly for barrel protection)
Trinity low profile hopper (200 rounds)
Tacamo AK Style Sight Rail
50mm Barska Red Dot Scope
and I run HPA.


... and a Tac-8 as a sidearm!

I've also polished the internals and Shaved the front lip off.

I'll update the picture soon as it does not show the lipshaved or the vertical adapter delete.

As It sits right now, the Stab is at 300psi... and Im shooting 280fps.

Look into getting HPA air tank and a APE/Rampage board.

When I first looked at the picture, I thought, "Nothing special. Don't bother posting."

After a while, it hit me that my marker, despite the heavy mods, looks basically bone stock. Your marker is all business, and that's just the way I like them.

As far as advice goes, I can offer this. If you can afford it, get the JCS gold tube. Once you get your stab on, you really won't need the FVA. It will just add inconsistency. Not to mention, you risk losing your FVA screw.

Hopefully, your Rap4 kit will be from the good batch.

yeah im hoping its from the good batch too. but yeah its all business, thats the way i like it. loks simple but tears up shop.

Nice A5! Simple but yet very effective. The only thing I would recommend is the same thing Shadow51 mentioned; switch to HPA if you have the availability.

it should be. i just bought a kit and they didnt even send a ratchet, so im guessing they are waiting to send me a good piece. they didnt inform me prior to this though and didnt respond to my email......

but im sure i will be taken care of.

yeah i got it today.. the ratchet is the bad batch... sadly disappointed but oh well. i emailed. if i dont hear soon il start a fight haha
