Thats a real M249 100 round Bag Mag I modified for a rail attatchment.
I have the all metal one and the Rap4 plastic one but thought this was way cooler.

Custom Paint Job was done using a chrome colored base, taping off the design then applying the reflective purple paint. Then baked in the oven to taste.
