Speedball with a Tippmann? Absolutely!

So all these woodsball guys tell me the A-5 is a great marker for mil-sim. I laugh and politely tell them the A-5 is designed for speedball.

It handles real well and has nice balance for effective lane shooting.

Six Dye Locklids ready to lay on the paint.

Yeah, I should probably put the mask back on. Shut up.

And finally, I think the A5OG patch matches the colors perfectly on the jersey. Wouldn't you agree?

My gear:

Tippmann A-5 (well duh...)
Tippmann X-7 hopper
Polished internals
Lapco mil-sim long foregrip
Palmer Brass black 12 inch vented barrel
Palmer QEV
Shocktech Relocator drop forward
Trinity spring kit
PMI 68/4500 HPA tank
JCS Jet Click
JCS Red Hot power tube
APE magnetic double trigger
APE Rampage board

Love the look. I can see you ESPN now at the world championships. Speedball is fun, we even play hyperball on asmall field. A5's can be made to be fast and I love it when your the loudest gun on the field (intimidation factor)

Yeah the A-5 is much louder than all the space guns I play with. After I added the JCS Red Hot power tube it got even louder. No one has to guess when my A-5 thunders.

Thats a nice setup!! How do you like the hopper??

I took the front grip of my gun and use my stab as a grip... it feels like it tightens up the gun it makes it feel speedballish

With the Rampage board you can out shot most 1000 buck guns. I love it.

Re: Speedball with a Tippmann? Absolutely!

I love the X-7 Hopper. It's lower profile actually gives me an advantage over the other guys with their enormous Halo and Egg hoppers when I snapshot over the top.

The Palmer Brass has been praised numerous times on this forum and that's a big reason why I got it. Twelve full inches of awesomeness and its length makes the A-5 look really mean.

Re: Speedball with a Tippmann? Absolutely!

Nice set up dude.

I play both speedball and woosball with my A-5. I must say though, when firing fast with the a-5, you cant keep your aim as well with the recoil. That heavy hammer going back and forth 25 times a second just isnt good for your aim.

I was using my A-5 for the first half of a speedball training, then switched to an EGO-05, and the difference is unreal. No recoil at all.

If you are a front, with a Q-loader, then the A-5 is one of he better speedball markers cause you dont need to be laying out lanes of paint and you will have zero profile. Aso, with the cyclone, you dont have a huge battery bill to keep loaders going.

Just my thoughts.
