It makes perfect sense, actually. The ability to modify a workhorse marker like the A-5 is probably its second-best selling point, next to the legendary reliability. Sure, 'Cockers are nice, when they shoot ![]() |

| Re: MyFirstMarker... yea there was an article i seen, i think on specops but im not sure, that says an a5 can be just as good if not better, than a gun 3-4x its price. as stated in my first post, i dont have a lot of money, but everytime u get a new part whether it be from a holiday or i just saved up money, it may feel like u got a completely new gun |

| Re: MyFirstMarker... fs, have you checked out the "pay it forward" thread? people have some decent stuff on there for free that may help you out some. of course, you have to then pay it forward, but you know. |

| Update: I have a leak. What a fun way to play. but now I have a bad Oring, or something so back to where I bought it. These guys are great, cause if you buy it from them they give you a lifetime warranty on all labor. So you just buy the parts and they fix it. Sweet. ~j |

| Re: MyFirstMarker... Well, the leak was a simple fix. I didn't have enough Teflon tape on the right places. But get this, when I put it all back together it wouldn't fire. (This was a couple of weeks ago - so this is more of an update on progress than a question) Come to find out, thanks to several great threads on our site, the amount of over spray from the factory powder coating on the inside was extensive. So much so, if you were to tighten down the screws it would hinder the front bolt and hammer from moving under air pressure (using CO2). You could move it by hand.... with too much effort anyway. I used my Dremel with a felt tip and some Neverdull aluminum polish to completely remove all of the overspray from the inside of the gun. I stopped just short of a mirror finish, and it works perfectly now. You can easily pull the system back with your pinky finger, and the system works much more efficiently. It took a little readjustment on the chrono after fixing it. So now with the stabilizer, no leak and completely polished internals.... it's a blast to use! |

I used an A5 the other day that a friend of mine had setup with HPA. It IS way more consistent to shoot than CO2 for sure. I'll have to save for a bit to get it, but it makes sense to make it my next upgrade. That and a remote setup at the same time. Though I'd really like to get a new barrel first. That will be easier to attain. ![]() Last edited by AllAboutAV : 04-06-2007 at 01:29 AM. |
