The Mercker's Soft Case

I have a game tomorrow but I have not gotten a case for my A5 yet. I didn’t want to just toss it in with other gear and I didn’t want it to just sit out in the open.

What to do……

Well, here is the answer.

I used a heavy weight outer black fabric and a medium weight yellow inner fabric. It is also padded with a layer of quilt batting between the layers. And as you can see it is Velcro closed at the top.

Sure, it will not protect it from hard hits, but that is not its intent. It is to conceal it in the truck and to protect it from scratches caused by banging up against other gear. Plus I didn’t have a lot of time…. I have work to do as well as get things ready for tomorrow.

And like I said, I will be either buying or making a hard case for it later. This is just a quick solution to a need….

Nice job shart. Back a few years ago I took an inexpensive hard bow case and foam and gussied it up for my A5.

Thanks. And yes that is another route I can take. What I actually do will depend on a lot of factors… what my budget is at the time, what is available at the time, and how much time I have at the time. I have a full woodworking shop and can put it to use.

Planno makes a hard case called Diabolik for paintball stuff, it has a barrel holder, seperate parts box, removeable gun pad, and a padded spot for more delicate gear. I have one it's pretty nice and it only cost me $30. You can find them at some Kmarts, farm and fleets/fleet farm, I'd be careful though the cyclone makes for a tight sqeeze.
