| Re: How-To: Install Air-Thru Dogleg stock I don't recall any RVA mod for the Dogleg. There was some discussion about it, but I don't think anything came of it. Also, I want your black fittings. :/

| Re: How-To: Install Air-Thru Dogleg stock Now, while bending it back to the connection on the dogleg, screw the line connector into the dogleg stock finger tight, then re-tighten with a spanner. Is it just me or was it really hard to turn it? I only got half way in it with my finger. Will the spanner put it all the way in? I dont want to put effort into it cause i read that it can break.

| Re: How-To: Install Air-Thru Dogleg stock Very helpful to someone wanting to install one. I would think it would look allot cleaner if the braided line was covered with black tube heat shrink. Just me thou! Good write up!

You should be able to turn it about half way in with your fingers. After that you'll need a spanner to tighten it the rest of the way. This also depends on how much thread tape you've used. If you use a lot of thread tape, you probably won't even make it to half way before having to switch to the spanner. As far as thread tape goes, I use the white thread tape and cut a length about 6" long. I then fold the thread tape in half so it's half it's original width, but still the same length. Then I wrap it around the tip of the thread to be sealed. I can finger tighten it to about 1/3 of the way in, then I switch to the spanner. I only tighten it until I feel it start resisting, then I stop. With the thread tape on the end of the thread, it should be sealed by this point anyway. If it leaks air just undo it, take the old thread tape off, put new thread tape on, and try again. Once you've done it a few times, you'll just about to be able to do it blind folded. Just make sure you don't cross thread the fittings by forcing it. Have patience and it will all work out. Hope this helps. EDIT:- Sorry for double post.
