Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

Right i am a TOTAL noobie to the tippmann thing. When i removed the tombstone and i fiddled about with the gun for abit this metal o-ring fell out... My gun has a upgraded power tube which has a clear o-ring in it... Did this come out of the powertube or the tombstone... Thanks.

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

That "metal oring" is a washer.....

The washer goes in first, then the oring....Tombstone holds them in

PS welcome to the OG

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

the washer goes in the valve....in the middle of the gun, housed in the power tube. The when you remove the tombstone from the power tube, you can see that clear oring. Take it out and put the washer in the valve, then put the oring back, same with the tombstone, and you're in business. Thanks for the rep.

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

Well when you look inside that slot where the tombstone-looking thing goes, there is a little hole in there that the washer and o-ring will fit into. Towards the back I believe.

So what you want to do is get the wasger in there, and then press the o-ring into place carefully with a flathead screwdriver.

Usually you don't have to do this if you're careful not to press on the valve during disassembly.

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

Well i'm saying carefully because some members may disapprove of using a hard, sharp screwdriver to put a relatively fragile o-ring into place.

Good luck. If you're still having problems, we'll be here to help.

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

come into another dilema... i have no idea seems as i am new to the tippmann thing... SO... the washer goes to the side which would be towards the back of the gun. Then infront of that(to the front of the gun side of the washer) the o-ring goes... NOW... the part im most confused on (doesent take much) is the spring. Should the spring go through the washer and oring or should the tombstone be "sandwhiched" (yes i know i said it) between the spring and the o-ring?

Re: Errrm... Where does this o-ring go ?? lol

Go to the link that Pure Excess Industries provided (this one). I believe that the spring you're referring to goes in before the washer and o-ring.

UNLESS it's the tombstone latch spring.
