Don't Know Burst Firing Without My Permission :(

- JCS Red Hot powertube
- Mechanical trigger
- Approx 5 full days use
- 4.5k hpa tank reading 2k
- fresh o-ring on hpa tank
- stock rear spring
- car stock
- SO FOG M4 Shroud
- Lightly oiled internals
- Sear and bolt unoiled
- Tank connected directly to tombstone
- FVA tried both totally unscrewed and screwed
- No leaks
- No cyclone currently attached

When i remove the shroud, the marker shoots perfectly. With the shroud attached it burst fires as if the air is low. If there is any more info you guys need, let me know.

What's going on?

Tried that. "- FVA tried both totally unscrewed and screwed" = tried with max velocity and min velocity.

Re: Burst Firing Without My Permission :(

I'll bet the shroud is pushing your barrel adapter back into the path of the front bolt, preventing it from cycling completely. I had this happen with a free-floating foregrip from opsgear (slightly different, but it might be the cause.)

Re: Burst Firing Without My Permission :(

How's that? This shroud doesn't make use of the barrel adaptor.

Re: Burst Firing Without My Permission :(

Hold the trigger down and cock the gun. If the gun is not staying cocked, then your sear is not catching on the trigger. This is an easy fix with a dremel tool.

After re-interpreting your post, it made sense to me and I tried to troubleshoot it on these grounds. I filed the inner diamater of the shroud because I did notice that when I put the front bolt through the adaptor with my hands, there is more resistance than with the stock bolt. I tried a few test shots and it seems to be working correctly.
