| Re: Grip Question No they are not the same. The egrip frame halves are molded to hold the electronics and selenoid. You can order the egrip trigger frame halves seperately. You'll also want to order the egrip sear and armature pin when you order the egrip frame halves from tippmann. They don't show the egrip frame halves on thier website so you may need to call them. | Re: Grip Question As mentioned, the E-grip halves are different to accommodate the circuit board and solenoid. However, you can use an E-grip and convert back to a stock trigger if you wish. Just not the other way around. The cheapest route to getting a proper grip would be eBay. You should be able to find someone ditching their Tippmann factory eGrip. You can then transplant the guts of the APE into it.

Jesus.. that much ? Man.. I can get a used E Grip for that. I just might go used Egrip and use it until I get my APE. The other deal I thought I was going to jump on fell through. Se La Vi' |

| Re: Grip Question How do you convert from WAS e-grip back to stock grip. Do I need any parts? I wouldn't mind being able to swap back and forth from mechanical to electronic (Especially for wet weather scenario work). Any details would be appreciated. Tippmannparts has the whole stock grip with trigger for $45. |

| Re: Grip Question From your post I'm guessing you don't have a mech trigger for your A5 (if so, then sorry). You would simply remove the two push pins holding your egrip on and replace it with your mechanical grip and put the two push pins back in.

| Re: Grip Question There is a post somewhere in this forum that details the simultaneous use of both mechanical sear tripping and the trigger switch of the e-grip. Apparently (as I can attest by my equipment) the slider, slider pins, and spring are absent from the e-grip trigger assembly. The trigger simply actuates the switch while idle (Un-pulled) and releases the switch when pulled. By replacing (or installing) the slider, slider pins, and spring the trigger assembly should revert to its non-electronic function by tapping the sear when the trigger is pulled. So if your battery dies or the actuating rod is not tripping the sear for whatever reason, you can simply continue to pull semi - manually. I am asking whether the trigger pieces are the same for 98c/A-5 or if I need to get A-5 specific slider, slider pins, and spring. Has anyone done this? |
