Re: Trigger Mods

I would think if one had an rt, instead of doing the magnet mod it would be more simple to do the clicky pen spring install in the cylinder, and gain the same if not a slightly better effect, cuz it will help the rt cycle faster. Yes, no ?

Re: Trigger Mods

It's not about making the RT go faster, it's all about keeping it going as fast as it can. The various mods are designed to make it easier to sweet-spot the RT. It will still be capped by limiting factors such as air flow, pressure and back-pressure on it's maximum cycling rate.

Re: Trigger Mods

how is your sear/bolt doing psyopper? have you had to replace it yet for the straw mods? i just did both since lately my r/t is acting wierd it will shoot really fast and i had it sweetspotted and i could hold it forever(without mods) and i ran out of air tuning the flatline so i put on a 12oz(had a 16oz on before) and then i could not hold the r/t at all, it would shoot twice really dast but thats it, so would the straw mods help me out here?

Re: Trigger Mods

Since upgrading (two years ago) I've had to do one sear/bolt replacement, but I certainly don't play as much as I used to.

The straw mods will help with that. Anything that acts as a trigger stop will help keep you in the sweet spot.

Did you try retuning the airflow regulator on the RT first?

yeah i did and i had to turn it down to get the r/t effect on and it was WAY slower so i turned it up until it hit a r/t effect and i tuned it there to get it back where i had it but i can't hold it FOREVER like i used to and i did not have any mods, i reoiled it and took it apart and replace the oring on the r/t and still the same can't hold it FOREVER like i use to be able to, so i did the capri sun straw mod(lucky me i found a straw under my lil bro's bed) and i put it on the two pins, the one on the trigger and the one by the sear. i put the straw on the trigger pin and it hold the trigger from going to far forward and back and it would not let it fire, so i had to put the straw on the sear pin back on(i removed it once i read that it will increase waer on the bolt and sear) once back on it fired(and yes i did sand the trigger to have the safety back on and it works properly too)
so i am gonna try it tomorrow and hopefully it will work

Re: Trigger Mods

If you do the magnet mod do you glue the magnets with opposite sides to each other over the gap?

Re: Trigger Mods

OK- i'd love some others to try this and give feedback :-D

Ive replaced the trigger spring with a pen spring (cut down to fit) and then made the trigger even lighter by replacing the sear spring with the old trigger spring (much shorter).

RT is now bloody fast and real easy to use :-D compared to before. Bloody cool!
