| hello everyone, i am debating on upgrading my A5, and i was thinking on purchasing an response trigger , or an e-trigger . i would just like for some other people's opinion on which i should invest into. they both seem to be pretty good upgrades, and i would like to know if most fields accept either the R/T or the E-trigger, or if they just don't accept them.thanks for the help, and your input |

| Re: R/T or E-Trigger? I use an r/t and I love it... E grips would be sweet to have, but they will cost ya a lot more considering everyone says you should have an ape board for em. I have only fired an r/t but I love them.. With pratice and tuning you can make r/ts go from full auto to bursts, or single shots easily.... I love the r/t

yea, i live in Ontario(an hour away from Toronto) and it just started snowing pretty bad here today even! lol, so yea, weather could be an issue for me, and from what ive heard, and gathered, the R/T will hold up better than an E-Trigger. so rite now i am leaning more to the R/T. unless someone talks me outa it. lol |

so in general, they will allow e-triggers, along as they are set to another mode than auto? like burst or something? |

depends on what your fields rules are. You may not be able to pul the trigger and fire 40 shots, but you maybe be able to fire 3 in semi then hold the tigger. Or I believe there is a setting were as long as you keep pulling the trigger it will shoot fast. you may pul the trigger constantly at 6 ball per second, but the gun may fire 20 per second. It all depends on the fields rules. *Edit* but yes egrips are always legal if they are set to semi auto only. |

| Re: R/T or E-Trigger? I like the simplicity of no electronics, meaning that my A5 is fully waterproof and I don't have to replace anything other than if a part wears down. IMO, an E-grip is nice for a mouse-click trigger, but then the gun becomes more finicky. For instance, let's say that you slip and fall in a puddle as you're playing a scenario game. Your e-grip goes down and you can no longer play unless you still have your stock grip to replace it with. What if you're playing in a downpour. More than likely it'll be the same story. With an R/T, you won't have those problems and you'll still be able to fire as fast as you need for suppressive fire. It's simple and with practice, long, controlled bursts are achievable.
