Response Trigger Help

I recently added a double trigger to my A-5. While doing so I lost that little silver metal peace that sticks out from the RT valve to the trigger, can some one tell me what that "did" and where I can buy a replacement part for it, thx

Re: Response Trigger Help

thats basically what triggers... the.. well.. trigger! Its what releases the air to make the response do what it does. Or at least i believe.

Re: Response Trigger Help

If Im not mistaken, you wont have your r/t capabilities, but should still be able to fire semi-auto. Worse case scenario, you still have your stock trigger?

Re: Response Trigger Help

Sounds like you lost the piston. You can get another from tippmannparts.com.

Re: Response Trigger Help

The gun came with with RT installed already, but only the little metal part that sticks out of the handle towards the trigger is missing. I was installing a double trigger when I dropped the whole thing.

Re: Response Trigger Help

Yep, you've lost the...piston bit...of the piston (as opposed to the piston housing). You'll still be able to fire semi auto, but your R/T will not R.

Also, you'll feel an odd blast of air against your finger when you fire.

(I also want to ask why you are installing a double trigger with an R/T...most people find single trigger easier to control).

Re: Response Trigger Help

I just got my A5 less than a month ago, and asked the guy at the shop what are the easist basic mods to do, and he said to go with a double, and squishy paddles to start

Re: Response Trigger Help

I would highly recommend ditching the double trigger if you have a R/T. Why? Good question. Well the R/T is all about finding the "sweet spot" and that is done (in my humble opinion) with one finger. A double trigger tempts you to use two, thus making in more difficult to find and thus be consistant in finding and if it is your choice maintaining a constant rate of fire once said sweet spot is found.

Hate to say it but. . .double trigger plus the R/T may have been a waste of money. Live and learn. . .Lord knows I have since deciding to mod and upgrade my marker.
